Tanz auf dem Seil - Subtitled BMX VIDEOS - BMX VIDEO CLIPS & MOVIES

This song was a nightmare to subtitle, despite being one of my favorites. PLEASE read for important info, particularly my note on Esmeralda\'s lyrics. The Berlin musical of Hunchback of Notre Dame, Der Glockner von Notre Dame, produced and owned by Walt Disney Co. and Stella Entertainment. Song is Tanz auf Dem Seil - Balancing Act. Singers are Ann Christin Elverum as Esmeralda (thanks MegaA236!), Chris Murray as Clopin (thanks about a dozen of you! Sorry I waited to add this part), and I don\'t know who else. Please comment if you know any other actors\' names in this clip.\n\nCaveat: I did the subtitles to this because I don\'t speak German, and I wanted to make the video accessible to others like me. But the key-phrase is that **I don\'t speakGerman**. The subtitles are taken from the English script posted so graciously by Peter Jenkins at his site: http://home.alphalink.com.au/~paga/hunchback . Please visit his site for tons of info on this musical. The script is a working draft written by James Lapine. **NOTE**: There is a refrain byEsmeralda in the song that is NOT translated in the libretto. This is my poor translation of the German lyrics, then mangled so it rhymed. PLEASE do not blame those lyrics on Schwartz or Lapine. For ref, the verse is: \"Welcome to Paris, Esmeralda/Don\'t interfere, and you will be alright/I\'ll hold mypeace, no matter how hard/Never again for others will I fight.\" Also, I want to say that this song is by far the most changed from the original libretto. I had to hack away at lyrics, reword others, and poorly translate the rest to make it fit in a way that I could subtitle. I hope that I managedto capture the whole meaning of the song, but encourage everyone to read the libretto and/or the original German if they want.\n\nColor guide to subtitles:\nGreen -- Esmeralda\nWhite -- Clopin\nLight Yellow -- Citizens and Gypsies\n\nAgain -- I don\'t speak German! Though most of the spoken subtitles may be about right, the lyrics are probably very different. These lyrics are the original English lyrics written by Stephen Schwartz, except my poor translation of that one full refrain of Esme\'s lyrics. Music by Alan Menken. Sorry for the poor quality of subtitles -- there\'s a lot of action and little black space, and the compression didn\'t go so well this time around.\n\nArgh, and I really do love this song.
