Fort George is part 5 of the Caribbean Suite, available on CD with the same name, recorded in 2005.http://www.dixielandcrackerjacks.comFort George is dedicated to the Capital of the Cayman Islands.\nOnce these Islands were the home of notorious buccaneers. Many shipwrecks can still be found by divers in the undeep sees close to the coast.\nThe opening cadenza played by trumpetter Michel Muller is in minor and a mix of a bugle calland dirge to honour all the sailors that found their graves in the sees around the Cayman Islands. Then the music continous with a tango, set in the same minor key. After one chorus, drummer Lielian Tan doubles the tempo into a swinging groove. After the solos by Muller, Selena and Brandsma there isa quotation of ABBA. Their hit song MONEY MONEY MONEY, serves as an idea what they are doing on the Cayman Islands nowadays, Tax heaven for the people with too much money.
