The show included the Toronto BMX Jam \'08.Toronto BMX Jam \'08 was an integral part of the entertainment of the annual show.\n\nIn this video Carl speaks about what the BMX Bike Park means to youth. He also discusses with 19yr old Kedre Browne, a legal graffiti artist known as \'BUBBLEZ\', what it means to Bubblez to have a legal place to paint his art on the BMX Bike Park.\n\nOn the Sunday of the event, Bubblez, and artist PHADE, along with their TRIBAL BRIDGES CREW did a graffiti art demonstration at the PRO and AMATEUR DAY FINALS. The spectator bleachers were full, and everyone enjoyed the watching the BMX riders, and the Tribal Bridges Crew do their art work.\n\nThe legal graffiti art was sponsored by the Toronto Crime Stoppers School Program, as a youth engagement project. \n\nIn 2007 Toronto Crime Stoppers received more tips to their anonymous community run reporting system that ever before since the program started in 1984. Crime Stoppers is a community program designed to prevent/solve crime and locate missing persons. Anonymous information can be called in to 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) toll free anywhere in Canada or by clicking on SUBMIT A TIP at http://222tips.comThe city of Toronto Parks Forestry and REcreation Department under the leadership of Allan Crawford have hosted Michael Heaton\'s BMX Bike Park at the Wallace Emerson Community Centre, 1260 Dufferin St, Toronto, ON Canada for the summers of 2007, and it will be there for the summer of 2008. Toronto BMX riders Jamie Burke and Chris Silva were hired by the recreation dept to teach BMX Skills camps to over 400 youth. The Crime SToppers school program hosted its Crime Stoppers BMX Showcase at the location, as did the International Bicycle Film Festival in the summer of 2007. The Argos Foundation became involved in the BMX Bike park for the occasion of the 2007 CFL Grey Cup event in Toronto in 2007. They hosted a Youth Engagement Project with this BMX Bike park outside of the Rogers Centre for the 2007 Grey Cup.\n\nThis is all built and funded by one man -- Michael Heaton - a man with a vision to provide challenging opportunities for youth to ride BMX bikes, build community, and become productive, active citizens. Michael is currently actively seeking a permananet indoor location.
